You're Not There, It's the Next Best Care That's why the Gaston County Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer their Babysitter's Training course on Saturday, Aug. 23, 9a.m.-3:30 p.m. for youth ages 11 to 15. Thanks
to the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training course, your babysitter
can learn how to: "The babysitting class is a great opportunity for young people to learn necessary skills and have the opportunity to practice the skills on life-size manikins," said Janet Epstein, director of Health and Safety Services for the Gaston County Chapter. This fun interactive course can be completed in just one day. Youth participants gain first aid and basic care skills practice, participate in hands-on activities, exciting video demonstrations, fun role plays and lively discussion. Upon completion of the course, participants earn an American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Certificate. "The course has been redesigned within the last year to make it more interesting and is packed full of the skills necessary for good babysitters," Epstein added. The cost of the course is $25.
