A Fashionable Celebration for the
Gaston County Chapter of the American Red Cross

The Gaston County Chapter of the American Red Cross held its 4^th annual “holiday threads” event on December 3, 2008 from 11:30-1:00 at Gaston Country Club. Event sponsors included Wal-Mart, Employees of the Gaston County Department of Social Services, John Jenkins, Inc., Beverly Knits, Douglas R. Harris Jewelers, Family Dollar, Rynnse, Select Consulting, Southeastern Plastic Surgery and Spectrum Marketing. Gastonia Mayor Jennie Stultz served as the mistress of ceremonies.

A Christmas Shop was available with beautiful Holiday items and great gift ideas. The guests shoped for items from local vendors such as Baby Panache, Climbing the Walls, Farm Spring Pottery, Franci B. Children’s Boutique, Handmade Fine Jewelry by Claire Jacobs, Glassy Gifts, Holland Home Pottery, Initial Impressions, Mattie Mae’s, and Sabika Austrian Crystal Jewelry.

The luncheon included a fashion show featuring some of the chapters dedicated volunteers.  Etcetera, Franci B. Children’s Boutique, Julie’s, Talbot’s, and Tally Ho Clothiers, Inc. provided clothing for this wonderful holiday occasion. Douglas R. Harris Jewelers provided dazzling jewelry which highlighted the fantastic holiday fashions. The event reminded our neighbors how the American Red Cross is threaded through Gaston County.
